THE PUBLICATION IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION AND FUNCTION AS A TOOL FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN.

The main goal of the work is to work as a tool for local governments in Latin America and the Caribbean providing information on the current situation of women and dissidences, within the framework of the transformations that are taking place in the life of cities around the world and of actions and policies aimed at overcoming these situations, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean. These changes are placed within the framework of global awareness, programming and commitment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Goals that create a favorable environment to advance in the execution of projects with a gender perspective that help to address these problems and in the consolidation and strengthening local governments’ management, as well as from other developments in the United Nations system. The ultimate goal is not only to improve the lives of women and diversities in cities but to improve the cities themselves, making them fairer spaces for all their inhabitants, more livable, more sustainable.
