UNTIL NOVEMBER 15, THE CALL FOR TEACHERS, GRADUATES AND/OR ACADEMICS OF ARGENTINE UNIVERSITIES FOR THE TUTORING PROGRAM FOR LAW AND SOCIAL SCIENCES STUDENTS IN HAITI WILL REMAIN OPEN

The International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights (CIPDH – UNESCO) calls teachers, graduates and academics from Argentine universities to be part of the tutoring program for law and social science students in Haiti.

The initiative is carried out within the context of the International Cooperation Project with the Haitian Institute of Human Rights (IHDH) through the Argentine Fund for International Cooperation (FO.AR) of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship.

In Haiti, the academic tutoring required for degree thesis are usually paid. In many cases, students cannot afford the cost and this is one of the reasons why they do not complete their studies.

The IHDH-CIPDH Tutoring Program  is intended to help law and social science students finish their careers through the articulation with teachers from Argentine universities that accompany the process of conducting theses and dissertations of Haitian students through distance learning. The students who are part of the program have been selected by the IHDH through a process that takes their social situation, the progress made in the career and the interest and commitment to studying into account

The selected tutors will have the support and follow-up of the CIPDH-UNESCO and prepare the list of the academic references of the Program. An advanced level of French and the willingness to exchange knowledge with other countries and cultures are both required. This is a volunteer job and certificates are granted. The tutors will appear on the web page and project documents as part of the teaching staff of the program.

Starting Date of the Program: 15 November 2019.
